Coming home from a trip ‘home’ is always bittersweet. We had the best, best time but it is very, very good to be back here again, and coming back to sakura in bloom makes it that bit sweeter.

Our last few days in the UK were a whirlwind of friends, family, food and fun. Lots of last-minute shopping (crumpets! wheat crunchies!) for me, and helping Granddad in the garden for the toddler.

The toddler and I spent a week visiting my Mama/her Nana in rural Portugal. It was a lovely week full of egg-collecting, rocky path-navigating, pig-feeding, and not a little rain.
